Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

It is quite common to mistake the terms TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and TMD (temporomandibular disorder) with one another. TMJ references the actual joint in the skull and under normal healthy circumstances we all have two of them, one on the right and the left.
